Regular carpet cleaning is required as it helps keep the house clean and dust free. Carpets take on many forms of dirt, shoes, animal fur, food droppings and juice among many others. Although vacuuming a carpet does prevent accumulation of dirt on the carpet, proper and intensive cleaning is still needed.

Cleaning a carpet at least twice a week is recommended to prevent dirt from building up. Some people even go to the extent of vacuuming their carpets every day. This is however not recommended, as this tends to weaken the carpet’s fibers. Spraying shampoo on the stained areas helps loosen dirt deep in the carpet fibers. Vacuuming slightly on the shampooed are helps take all this dirt away.  Steam cleaning is another great option for carpet cleaning. You however need a steam-cleaning machine to do this perfectly. Steam is considerably the most effective cleaning method as it not only washes dirt away, but also small microorganisms that be living within the same.
